Wies Boonstra

My name is Wies Boonstra and I live in The Netherlands. I'm born in 1966 in the North of the Netherlands.

I'm a countrymusic lover. Have a special place in my heart for the indies. And I'm happy that Gary Bradshaw and Tom Cunningham ( BC ) give me the oppurtunity to play music in their room on Paltalk radio. I have two shows in the week and have a few fill ins too so I'm rather busy with givin the people airplay who disurve it. And it's webcasting too so.....

Besides the DJ-thing I'm a linedancer too so I do a lot ( better can say everything) with the music. I'm doing that for almost 10 years now.

Hi, my name is Sheila ( Socks) Martin and I live in England with my grandson Alex who is 7 years old and lives with me.

Nearly 1 yr ago my friend downloaded PalTalk for me and it changed my life.

I started of in a demo room and did not enjoy what I was saw on the screen so decided to go and see if there was anything on Country & Western music, and guess what I found a room called WHP and I am still here.

In the past months I have seen many people coming and going. We have differences of opinions and people have gone only to be replaced by newcomers. We have had romances that have turned out very good and others that have died.

The best thing about the room is that I have made many new friends that I would not have met had I not been here in the room.

I feel privileged to be able to call Mr. Bobby Seals one of our artists a friend, he is a wonderful person and he has a very versatile singing voice, and I just love listening to him singing. I am working alongside "garyd" doing the PR work for Bobby Seals and this would never had happened had I not been in the room.

I must also mention another good friend of mine and that is Tommy the UK Cowboy. Tommy sent me a copy of his song "There's Memories in that Old Storage Room " before it was released and I just loved it from the first time I heard it and have enjoyed singing it in text in the room.

Of course there are many more of the Indie Artists that I support, there are too many to mention by name but they know who they are.

Last but not least and we cannot do without them, and that is the DJ's who all do a very good job. I have made two very special friends of long standing and they are Marie and Alison and I love them both dearly.

Of course I cant go without mentioning our Gary Bradshaw and Tom Cunningham who are the owners of the room and without them we would not have a place to play and listen to our music as well as a meeting place to talk with our friends.

I was born on May 17th. 1936 in Yass, (Southern part of New South Wales in Australia) near Canberra A.C.T. I am the eldest of a family of six, all still living. I was raised up on Christian Beliefs,our both parents passed away due to illness very young. and we were raised by our Grandparents. (Thank God for Grandparents).I was around eleven then. That is when I started to get interested in Country (Hillbilly) music, I wanted to start my own collection of records but as I was too young to work, my grand parents gave me some little chores and they gave a little money, enough to go and buy a record, I kept doing that till I was able to leave school and work. I am talking the old 78 records here. That is how my interest in Country Music started. Today I have no idea due to amount of music I have in Volume, at the moment I am now catologue my collection to make it easier to access. I am now 69 with one daughter, widower ( my wife passed away nearly three years ago). I am a retired Baker/pastrycook, at that time of retirement our local Community Radio Station Yass FM100.3 had just started to go on air, and I became very interested in doing. That was over four years now and I love it, Personaly myself I get so much out what I am doing I just love what I am doing. This where I get excited, I do research into the SONG also the Artist without getting on personal issues. I also am a member of our local Apostolic Church Eagle's Nest Christian Centre here in Yass Assistant Treasurer, also Board member on Yass FM100.3, Technical Advisor. If any Artist have any material for consideration please conact or just send.
